By the end of February 2021, employees of the regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library held a webinar for history and social science teachers of secondary schools.
The teachers learned about the Presidential Library’s portal and new collections spotlighting the most important events in the history of our country. Thus, the staff of the center demonstrated the electronic collections Overcoming the Time of Troubles in Russia, The Decembrists in the History of Russia, The Emancipation Reform of 1861 and The Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 posted on the Presidential Library’s portal.
Particular attention was paid to the collection History Textbooks, which reflects the variety of concepts and methodological approaches in the field of creating textbooks.
The teachers are invited to join the live broadcasts of video lectures and webinars, which are held in the Live broadcasts section and on the YouTube channel of the Presidential Library.
The attendees learned the details about the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad, which is held annually by the Presidential Library for senior pupils, and answered the questions of last year's Olympiad in the Zoom chat, on the platform of which the webinar was organized.
Following the meeting, the event participants decided to organize a competition for the best development of a history lesson using the resources of the Presidential Library.
