Laying flowers at the bust of Yuri Gagarin took place in Ulan Bator

March 9, 2021 the Russian House in Ulan Bator hosted a ceremony of laying flowers at the bust of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin, a Soviet pilot-cosmonaut, the first person to be in space.

The event was attended by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, teachers of the Russian language in secondary schools, students of Russian language courses at the Russian House in Ulan Bator as well as employees of the Russian House.

The electronic collections of the Presidential Library feature special collection Outer Space, including fragments of newsreels, periodicals, books, postcards, commemorative medals and badges spotlighting various milestones in the development of astronautics.

Only a part of the materials from the electronic repository is publicly presented on the Presidential Library's portal. The library's information resources in full are available at the remote access centers opened in different countries of the world. One of these centers has been opened since 2015 at the Russian House in Ulan Bator.
