The Presidential Library’s Chelyabinsk Regional Center celebrates 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library based on the Regional Center of the Presidential Library has organized a series of events dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Dostoevsky's birth. Throughout the year, with the participation of the staff of the regional center, book exhibitions and literary intellectual and entertainment games based on the writer's work will be held.

The campaign "#GetDostoevsky: printed editions of the writer's works in various languages ​​of the world" aroused keen interest among the readers and friends of the library.

The first meeting of the Dostoevsky Literary Club took place on March 16, 2021. The meeting was attended by schoolchildren, students, teachers and those who love the work of the Russian classic.

A well-known Chelyabinsk literary critic, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, senior researcher of the South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University Dmitry Bogach was invited to the event.

Dmitry Bogach's lecture "The First Novel of Dostoevsky: A Story of Success" was dedicated to an original approach to the literary heritage of the great Russian classic.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821-1881), which includes digital copies of texts of works, materials about the life and career of the writer.
