Virtual tour of Crimea held at the Birobidzhan Regional Center of the Presidential Library

March 18, 2021 the Birobidzhan Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the I. Sholem Aleichem Birobidzhan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the event "This Amazing Crimea" dedicated to the Day of the reunification of Crimea and Russia.

During the trip, guests of the center, people with disabilities learned about the history of the peninsula, “visited” architectural and natural sights, as part of a video tour, admired the Crimean nature from a bird's eye view. The event ended with the quiz "Whether you know Crimea".

The Presidential Library's portal features the collections The Crimea in Postcards and Republic of Crimea: Pages of History. The first collection provides 850 postcards of the late XIX - first half of the XX century, the second one includes studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and other materials spotlighting the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the peninsula from ancient times to early XX century.
