The Russian House in Chisinau to hold a photo contest "Visiting Pushkin Places of Moldova"

25 March 2021

Marking the bicentennial of Alexander Pushkin's travel to Bessarabia and his stay in a gipsy camp near the village of Dolna, the Russian House in Chisinau and the Komsomolskaya Pravda in Moldova newspaper are holding a photo contest "Visiting Pushkin Places of Moldova".

The event aims to collect photographs of the places visited by the great poet during the journey, which impressed him a lot. Anyone can take part in the contest, both professionals and amateurs.

Since 2012, the Russian House in Chisinau has been hosting a Centre of Remote Access to the Information Resources of the Presidential Library, which promotes the materials of the electronic collection Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837). The collection comprises digital copies of books, articles, archive documents, thesis abstracts, video films, visual and other materials, which spotlight the poet’s life and oeuvre, as well as the state activities aimed at preserving his memory.
