Cadets from Buryatia took part in the "Cadet Day at the Presidential Library" conference

On April 7, 2021, students of the Republican Cadet Boarding School visited the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library in the Republic of Buryatia, operating on the basis of the National Library of the Republic of Buryatia, to take part in the conference-webinar "Cadet Day at the Presidential Library".

It is an annual event by the Presidential Library, supported by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

The webinar highlighted the history of the establishment of Russian cadets in the XVIII century and their participation in the Suvorov campaigns. Also, the event was devoted to the saint patron of the Russian army - Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, whose 800th anniversary is celebrated this year.

The most interesting, according to the students of the Republican Cadet Boarding School, were the performances of the student of the Kemerovo Presidential Cadet Corps Artyom Raikovsky The Story of My Family in the Military History of Russia and the student of the St. Petersburg Cadet Corps "Girls' Boarding School of the Ministry of Defenсe of the Russian Federation" Salima Mukhametkulova Daughters of Motherland: the Image of a Sniper.

The Presidential Library's portal promotes the collection The Republic of Buryatia: Pages of History. It features statistics and cartographic materials, archival documents, studies and essays of the mid-XIX - mid-XX centuries which cover demographic, ethnographic, socio-political and socio-economic aspects of the history of the Republic of Buryatia. Besides, the collection presents the current Constitution of the Republic of Buryatia.
