The Presidential Library summed up the results of the Olympiad on the subject "Russian as a Foreign Language"

39 students from Egypt, Great Britain, Serbia and other countries have become winners and prize-awardees of the annual interactive Olympiad of the Presidential Library “Russia in the Electronic World” on the subject “Russian as a Foreign Language”. The results of the final test are published on the website of the Olympiad.

The first qualifying stage of the interactive educational project was held from October 1, 2020 to January 22, 2021 in correspondence using the Presidential Library's system for remote knowledge testing. It involved 1,278 foreign schoolchildren and students from 52 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa... The tasks included three levels of Russian language proficiency assessment: elementary level (A1), basic level (A2), first certification level (B1).

Starting from March 29 to March 31, 2021 the second final stage was held. It was attended by 509 schoolchildren and students.

The final stage was held in full-time format based on Russian centers of science and culture in 30 countries. On the territory of Russia it was held in the Presidential Library at Senate Square, 3 as well as in remote electronic reading rooms of the institution in the regions.

The participants had to answer questions about grammar, history and culture of Russia, show their skills of understanding Russian speech.

The official awarding of the winners and awardees will take place on May 2021. They will receive diplomas and mementos from the Presidential Library.

The interactive Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" on the subject "Russian as a Foreign Language" was introduced in the 2019/2020 academic year. It is designed for foreign students over 14 years old. During this time, about three thousand people tested their knowledge of Russian as a foreign language.
