A virtual tour of the exhibition dedicated to the famous military cartoonist Boris Yefimov available on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library's portal presents a virtual tour of the exhibition dedicated to Boris Yefimov, a classic of political satire that depicted all the significant events of the 20th century, Adolf Hitler's personal enemy, a cartoonist whose works played an important role in the outcome of World War II.

The exposition An Artist against the Fuhrer: Fascism in the Cartoons of Boris Yefimov. Marking the 80th anniversary of the Outbreak of World War II prepared jointly with the Creative Bureau O[ttepel] is based on originals of cartoons and memorial items of the artist provided by his grandson Viktor Fradkin from his personal archive, including working tools - brushes and pens, paints and ink.

The virtual tour makes it possible to feel the atmosphere of the wartime, to understand the significance of Boris Yefimov's cartoons for the defenders of our country. It is complemented by archival historical documents from the library’s collections.

The Presidential Library’s portal features various materials of the war years. The large-scale collection Memory of the Great Victory contains official documents, photographs and newsreels, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and home front workers, personal documents and much more. A separate section of the collection is devoted to the reflection of the war on the pages of the front and regional press.

Virtual projects are an actively developing area of the Presidential Library's activity, thanks to which the electronic repository, along with paper, photo, audio and video materials, is replenished with exhibits from the exhibitions and items from museum collections.
