7 May 2021

The honoured folk art vocal ensemble "Rodnaya Pesnya" recorded an online concert at the site of the Centre of Remote Access to the Presidential Library's Resources in Nefteyugansk. The event marks the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and contributes to the cultural life of compatriots and military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Syrian Arab Republic. The project was initiated by the municipal cultural institutions "City Library" and "Cultural and Leisure Complex".

For more than 20 years, the vocal ensemble has been entertaining Ugra residents. It shares its art, which represents the ideas, traditions and patriotism of the Russian people, passion and energy.

The song always supports people, gives strength, confidence and love. Eight Cossack folk songs were devoted to compatriots who are thousands of kilometres from the native land.

The Presidential Library's Centres of Remote Access provide a collection of frontline songs published in 1945. The book is part of the extensive collection of the Presidential Library Memory of the Great Victory. It features official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of war participants and rear workers, private papers, images of military and labour awards, monuments and memorial complexes.
