Slavic Written Language and Culture Day celebrated in Nefteyugansk

International and cultural program "Cyril and Methodius Heritage" was held at the center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library based on the city library of Nefteyugansk, with the support of the Culture and Tourism Committee of the Administration of the city of Nefteyugansk on May 24, 2021.  

Representatives of the branch of the Association of Russian, Slavic and Cossack organizations of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the North Kazakhstan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Petropavlovsk, the Gabit Musrepov North Kazakhstan Youth Library of the Department of Culture, Development of Languages ​​and Archival Affairs of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan Region, as well as Pushkin Brest Central City Library attended the event.

The round table meeting considered issues of the importance of the Russian language, the preservation of Slavic culture and its history.

The event attendees also took part in the intellectual game "Origins of Slavism", where they answered questions regarding the history of the Slavic alphabet and its creators Cyril and Methodius.

The cultural program was completed by musical performances by creative groups.

As a result of the event, the program participants proposed to conclude agreements on cooperation and interaction for the development of international humanitarian cooperation, the implementation of cultural, educational and socially significant projects.

The Presidential Library’s resources were used while preparing the event.

The Presidential Library’s portal features electronic collection Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra: Pages of History. It includes studies, essays, official documents, archival, statistical, visual and audio materials that spotlight the administrative, socio-economic and cultural situation of the territories (late 18th - early 21st centuries) that are part of modern Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra.
