The results of the professional contest summed up in Yekaterinburg

The contest for the best project of municipal libraries Epoch. Dialogue through the centuries dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Nekrasov and Fyodor Dostoevsky summed up in Sverdlovsk Region.

The contest was held from January 11 to May 24, 2021. Its founders and organizers were the Ministry of Culture of Sverdlovsk Region, the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library and the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of Access to Information Resources of the Presidential Library with the support of the Presidential Library.

Among the objectives of the contest are to promote Nekrasov’s and Dostoevsky’s creative oeuvre, to identify and disseminate library innovations in the field of cultural and educational activities and promotion, to help improve professional skills of librarians, provide readers of municipal libraries with additional opportunities for creative self-realization, and free access to relevant cultural and educational content.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History, which contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries. It spotlights the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
