Campaign "Young Heroes of the Great Victory" available for the children of the city of Penza

June 22, 2001 on the Day of Remembrance and Mourning, employees of the Regional Center of Access to the Presidential Library's resources at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library invited the children from the summer camp of school No. 64 to remember those who fought the enemy at the front and worked in the rear, bringing the Great Victory closer.

The children were also shown an electronic collection about the Great Patriotic War, posted on the Presidential Library’s portal. It contains unique evidence of wartime: leaflets, posters, newspapers, biographies of combatants and home front workers, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards. A special place in the collection is given to newsreels and documentaries. In addition, the schoolchildren saw electronic copies of the issues of the Murzilka magazine published during the war. These magazines are available on the portal and in the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library including a book by Korney Chukovsky "We Will Defeat Barmaley", written during the evacuation.

The collection Penza Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials spotlighting the demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Penza Region at the end of the 18th - first third of the 20th century.
