The Regional Center of the Presidential Library of Republic of Bashkortostan provides the virtual exhibition "Towards the World Folkloriada - 2021"

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library and the reference and bibliographic department of the Akhmet-Zaki Validi National Library of Republic of Bashkortostan prepared a virtual exhibition "Towards the World Folkloriada - 2021".

Within the framework of the interactive exhibition, visitors will learn about history of the World Folkloriada. The last time it was held in 2016 in Mexico in the city of Zacatecas. The decision to hold this large-scale festival of folk art, dance and music in Bashkortostan was made within the framework of the General Assembly of CIOFF in Peru in the city of Arequipa in October 2015. The Folkariada will give an opportunity to present to the world the unique culture and folk art of the Republic of Bashkortostan and our entire country.

The exhibition also presents books about the folklore of the peoples living in the republic. The publishing house "Bashkir Encyclopedia" published the encyclopedia "Folklore of the peoples of Bashkortostan", and the Akhmet-Zaki Validi National Library published a bibliographic index "Bashkort folklore - Bashkir folklore".

The collection Republic of Bashkortostan is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes archival documents, essays, statistical, cartographic, photo and audio materials, spotlighting the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the republic in the period of the XVIII-XXI centuries.
