Delegation of representatives of the Legislative Assembly of Leningrad Region, veterans and the youth visited the Presidential Library

On July 1, 2021 a visiting session of the delegation of representatives of the Legislative Assembly of Leningrad Region, veterans and the youth was held at the Presidential Library.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dmitry Pulyaevsky, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly, Executive Secretary of the Council of NGOs Valeria Kovalenko, Chairman of the Council of Leningrad Regional Public Organization of Veterans (Pensioners) of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies Yuri Oleinik.

The participants were told about the history of the building of the Presidential Library. They were shown a conference hall created for holding all-Russian and international events. The guests visited the transforming multimedia hall, where conferences, video lectures, cinema club meetings and other events are held, and they also saw the technical equipment of the premises, thanks to which it is possible to take part in the events not only from any region of Russia, but also from abroad.

In the electronic reading room, the representatives of the delegation were told how the materials are being digitized and the collections of the institution are being formed, the volume of which today is more than a million depository items. They are electronic copies of books and periodicals, archival documents, audio and video recordings, photographs, scientific and educational films, thesis and other materials.

Further, the delegation of representatives of the Legislative Assembly of Leningrad Region, veterans and the youth held a meeting, the main topic of which was the work of organizations in a pandemic.
