
Russian House in Tunisia to hold a quiz "He was Unconquerable in the Battle of the Neva..."
Prince Alexander Nevsky is one of those heroes, whose actions not only influenced the fate of the country and its people, but changed it in many respects, predestining the course of Russian history for many centuries.
781 years ago, on July 15, 1240, a battle between Novgorod and Swedish troops on the Neva River took place. This struggle went down in history under the name Battle of the Neva. Prince Alexander, who led the Novgorod troops, was forever nicknamed Alexander Nevsky for victory, courage and heroism in battle. This achievement allowed preserving the unity of the country and provided free access to the Baltic Sea.
Marking the 800th anniversary of Alexander Nevsky and wishing to preserve the military, historical and cultural heritage, the Russian House in Tunisia invites to recall the events of the past and take part in the quiz "He was Unconquerable in the Battle of the Neva...", devoted to this glorious date. Considering the epidemiological situation, the quiz will be held remotely on the Google Formulaire platform. It will be available from July 5 to 15.
