
The Chuvash Regional Center of the Presidential Library held a lesson dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad
Specialists of the Chuvash Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on of the National Library of Chuvash Republic held a multimedia lesson dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad for children from the Vangogi/VANGOGI summer camp.
The guys learned that the battle surpassed all the battles of world history and that the victory at Stalingrad is called a turning point in the entire Great Patriotic War.
Young readers learned about the collection Memory of the Great Victory available on the Presidential Library’s portal. Special attention was paid to the section The Might of the Russian Arms: Military Operations during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad.
The children also watched the documentary The Next Target is Stalingrad from the Presidential Library’s collections. The film tells about the labor feat of the workers of the Stalingrad Tank Plant. They made combat vehicles under fire from enemy guns, and when the Nazis approached the walls of the plant, they themselves sat down to control the tanks.
The episodes of the military chronicle made a great impression on the children.
79 years have passed, but the memory of those who fought at Stalingrad is still alive. This feat teaches courage, resilience and boundless love for the Motherland.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic collection Chuvash Republic: Pages of History. It includes research, official and archival documents, visual materials that spotlight the socio-economic, political and cultural aspects of the history of Chuvash Republic.
