Project presentations aimed at developing the Presidential Library’s regional network held in Yekaterinburg

Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library completed the educational cycle of the project laboratory "Coordinate System".

The summer design laboratory aimed at enhancing the work of the supporting libraries of the Presidential Library’s network in Sverdlovsk Region was launched in June 2021. At the online meetings, employees of municipal libraries and schools of Sverdlovsk and Tyumen Regions developed projects for the development of remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library for the 2021/2022 academic year.

The event was attended by 42 institutions where an access point to the resources of the Presidential Library has been opened or is being prepared for opening.

The project participants went through the theoretical blocks on the formation of the content base, determination of the target audience, preparation of the estimate, search for partners and the organization of the media campaign in stages.

Two master classes such as creating a multimedia product based on the resources of the Presidential Library and on digital planning and time management were held additionally.

During the summer, the teams also filled out a collective "logbook", where they saved links to the documents that seemed to them the most interesting from the Presidential Library’s collections. As a result of passing through all the "points", an action plan was formed to promote the resources of the Presidential Library in any locality.

17 projects will be implemented during the next academic year and the finalists will receive certificates of professional development.

The Presidential Library's portal features the current collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History. It contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries spotlighting the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
