Media contest supported by the Presidential Library to show color of the North Caucasus

We continue to accept applications for the V All-Russian annual media contest Kavkaz.doc, designed to capture the North Caucasus in all its manifestations. The contest is supported by the Presidential Library, the Head and Government of Karachay-Cherkessia. This is a large-scale, already traditional event of the first in the North Caucasus information and educational center of the Presidential Library based on the republican TV channel of Karachay-Cherkessia Arkhyz 24.

The main goals of the contest are to promote the positive image of the North Caucasus at the federal level, to support talented representatives of the media sphere, both professionals and amateurs, as well as to draw attention to historical events related to the development of Karachay-Cherkessia and other republics of the North Caucasus.

In order to participate in the media contest it is necessary to send photographs (series of photographs), video materials, text materials published in official media and on blog resources, publications and photo-video materials on social networks as well as other platforms spotlighting amazing nature, multinational culture and Caucasian flavor.

The contest is open not only to professional photographers, videographers, journalists, bloggers, but also to amateurs.

Nine nominations were established at the contest. They are “Caucasus: breath of history” (memories of fellow countrymen), “Caucasus: day by day” (events and significant events at the regional or district level), “Caucasian character” (beauty of people who work for the benefit of the region), “Mountain Girl. How beautiful you are today!" (beauty of Caucasian women), “The future of the Caucasus” (young fellow countrymen), “Caucasian health” (fellow countrymen-athletes and long-livers), “Magic of the Caucasus” (nature of the North Caucasus), “A Word about the Caucasus” (free text materials published in Media, social networks and blogs from April 12, 2021 to January 12, 2022), "Mobile Caucasus" (photographs and videos spotlighting the Caucasus in all its manifestations).

In order to participate in the Mobile Caucasus nomination it is necessary to post the contest work on social networks with the hashtag #kavkazdoc2021 and be subscribed to the Arkhyz 24 TV channel account. The rest of the contest participants need to send their works together with accompanying documents in electronic form to kavkaz.doc@arkhyz24.ru indicating the nomination.

The works selected by the jury members for the contest will be published in the corresponding section of the official website of the Arkhyz 24 TV channel.

The results of the media contest will be announced in the spring of 2022. The winners will receive special awards and valuable prizes from the project’s founders and sponsors.

In addition, the photographs of the winners will be exhibited in the premises of the Arkhyz 24 TV channel, and will also be presented at special exhibitions at the Presidential Library, the State National Library of the Bayramukova Karachay-Cherkess Republic and the North Caucasus State Humanitarian and Technological Academy.

All the materials sent to the Kavkaz.doc media contest will enter the Presidential Library’s collections, which today number more than a million depository items and are freely available.
