The Presidential Library joined the Conference of Directors of National Libraries

8 September 2021

The Presidential Library’s specialists joined the Conference of Directors of National Libraries (CDNL).

The event was held online for the first time. The theme of the conference in 2021 is Uncertainties: How National Libraries Deal with Risks and Opportunities.

CDNL is an independent association of the heads of national libraries created in 1974 to promote mutual understanding and cooperation on issues of common interest to national libraries. CDNL actively participates in the discussion of the problems of national libraries in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. It deals with problems of cooperation with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), receives the reports of the Conference of European National Librarians (CENL), Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL) and others.

The Presidential Library has been the member of the CDNL since 2010.
