The Presidential Library to attend the international scientific conference The Arctic As An Object of State Policy

The international scientific conference The Arctic As An Object of State Policy supported by the Committee of St. Petersburg for Arctic Affairs in conjunction with the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University, will be held on October 14, 2021 at the assembly hall of the building of the Twelve Collegia of St. Petersburg State University. The informational partner of the event is the Presidential Library.

The conference is aimed at developing the potential of St. Petersburg as a center for Arctic science and education, contributing to the implementation of the national priorities of the Russian Federation in the Arctic. The conference program assumes consideration of the tasks of the current Russian chairmanship of the Arctic Council.

The conference will highlight topical issues of the policy of the Russian Federation and the Arctic states in relation to the Arctic, directions for the development of the Arctic (including human capital, cities, issues of resource extraction and protection of the natural environment of the Arctic), Arctic research in recent years and international scientific cooperation.
