Exhibition "300 years on guard of the law" opened in Penza

The Lermontov Penza Regional Library opened a book exhibition "300 years on guard of the law", dedicated to the three-century anniversary of the Russian prosecutor's office.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the prosecutor of Penza Region N. E. Kantserova, who congratulated the visitors of the exhibition on this event, noting the importance and relevance of the historical date.

The event was attended by a veteran of the regional prosecutor's office L. A. Milovanova, who shared her memories of working days. Director of the Lermontov Penza Regional M. N. Osipova spoke about the joint partnership activities of the regional prosecutor's office and the library. The result was the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the field of increasing the legal literacy of the population.

The guests were also shown unique printed editions from the collections of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library focusing on the contribution of the prosecutor's office of the Penza region to the common cause of prosecutorial supervision.

Unique electronic publications devoted to the history of the formation and development of the prosecutor's office, which are presented in the collections of the Presidential Library, aroused great interest.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials covering demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region at the end of the 18th - first third of the 20th century. The current Charter of Penza Region is also presented.
