19 October 2021

Exhibition dedicated to the life and career of Pyotr Tchaikovsky was opened at the children's music school in Pavlodar (Kazakhstan). The exposition was donated to the school by the Russian House in Nur-Sultan.

For the first time, a colorful and informative exhibition, created for the 180th anniversary of the great Russian composer, was presented to the Kazakh public in November 2020. The richness of the exposition and the ease of presentation of materials are highly valued in modern pedagogy.

The head of the music school Olga Bobrovskaya noted that the exhibition was a valuable gift. The materials will be used in the study of Tchaikovsky's works within the framework of the program on musical literature.

Tchaikovsky made a huge contribution to the development of Russian culture as a composer, conductor, popularizer of Russian music abroad, teacher, music journalist and public figure. The special electronic collection of the Presidential Library contains digital copies of Tchaikovsky's autographs, sheet music and photographs, correspondence, books and articles about his life and career.

Only a part of unique materials is presented on the Presidential Library’s portal and in full in the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in different countries.
