Prospects for cooperation between the Presidential Library and Russian law universities discussed in Tyumen

"Days of the Presidential Library" are regularly held at the Center for Information and Library Support for the Training of Internal Affairs Officers of the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Practical orientation workshop and a round table "Partnership with the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library: Experience and Prospects" were held on October 19, 2021 within the framework of the current cooperation agreement between the Presidential Library and the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The event was attended by members of the faculty of higher legal institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Irkutsk.

The moderator of the round table was Tatyana Silina, head of the library of the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and the chief bibliographer Natalya Kuznetsova from the side of the branch of the Presidential Library in Tyumen Region.

The event participants noted interesting archival materials on the history of forensic science in the Presidential Library’s collections, which they learned about during a practical workshop and also made proposals for entering library collections with modern documentation on digital forensics, the work with which is today a key requirement for the profession of a forensic scientist.
