Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov talked about the promotion of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan

Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, spoke on the air of Sputnik-Kyrgyzstan Radio. He talked about the forum of directors of Bishkek educational organizations that provide Russian-language teaching and the activity of the Agency for the Support and Promotion of the Russian Language Abroad.

"Our main task is to conduct training and professional development of Kyrgyz tutors who teach in Russian", Shevtsov said. "It is essential for teachers to work with methodologists who will tell about the changes in the Russian language and new technologies in teaching the language".

Since 2011, a Centre of Remote Access to the Presidential Library's Information Resources has been working on the basis of the Russian House in Bishkek. Its guests can use the electronic collections of the Presidential Library in their studies and work. This array of historical documents combines a variety of resources: books, rare archival documents, ancient manuscripts, graphic materials, multimedia content (audio and video recordings).

The main topics of collections highlight the history of Russia, national legislation and the Russian language. Particular attention is paid to national geography and local history, Russian foreign relations, and the reflection of Russian history in literature and art.
