The Presidential Library attended the educational marathon "The Art of Knowledge"

The Presidential Library attended the educational marathon "The Art of Knowledge", which from November 22 to 24, 2021 was held at the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art on Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg.

The event was organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" and co-organized by the Russian Military Historical Society - a partner of the Presidential Library.

The leaders of famous theaters and museums, TV presenters, directors, scientists, musicians and writers, architects, artists and entrepreneurs, as well as state and public figures gathered to discuss the most important topics of the modern cultural and historical agenda. The marathon was held with the support of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum and the Dostoevsky Lecture Center.

The educational marathon program included panel discussions and lectures on the preservation of history and historical memory, the formation of a space of culture and education, modern trends in urban studies and the role of classical education in the field of art.

On the first day of the marathon, November 22, within the framework of the main open discussion "Formation of a space of culture and education", the participants discussed the value of the traditions of urban planning for the development of culture and education.

November 23 - the day of discussion of cultural development. Should art be accessible or elite, how appropriate provocations are in it - this was the agenda of the main discussion of the day.

November 24 was dedicated to the issues of professionalism in art.

Also, within the three days of the marathon, there were held discussions dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Empire and the uniqueness of the historical imperial heritage. On November 24, 2021 the Presidential Library attended the panel discussion "Historical heritage of the Russian Empire: domestic and world dimensions".
