The Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library hold classes at the School of Information Culture

December 1, 2021 the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted another lesson within the framework of the network educational project "School of Information Culture". It was attended by students of the 7th grade of the Lyceum № 21 in Tambov.

SHIK students learned about the resources of the Presidential Library, received training on working with the library collections on the website and in the electronic reading room. They also learned about the options for using resources in educational activities and self-education.

With the help of the information system of the Presidential Library the guys learned to formulate a request taking into account many criteria of “simple” and “advanced” search, comparing the result with a search in the catalog system of the Presidential Library and Internet resources; studied thematic collections At the origins of Russian statehood, Memory of the Great Victory, Russian Voyages around the world in the first half of the 19th century, Outer Space, Alexander Nevsky (1221-1263) and others.

In addition, the pupils discovered the educational project of the Presidential Library Gosudarika. The website has been created especially for schoolchildren and teachers. Its main goal is to show children the national heritage, reflecting the theory, history and practice of Russian statehood.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Tambov Region: Pages of History. It includes research, statistical materials and archival documents presented in the collection of the late 18th - early 20th centuries that spotlight the administrative, economic, demographic, educational and religious situation in the Tambov province. The collection also includes the current Charter of Tambov Region.
