"Week of Masters" available in the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted meetings with the Ural masters of decorative and applied arts.

Within 2021, during the cycle, four conversations about the craft tradition of the Urals with craftsmen working in various directions were held. The conversation was about folk culture and its reflection in modern art practices and the masters also revealed the secrets of creativity and inspiration. Wickerwork from flexible birch bark, original wooden toys, various types of work and wood carving, as well as the peculiarities of stencil painting on trays - these and many other things were discussed by the Ural craftsmen. In the near future, video recordings of the meetings will be published on the YouTube channel of the Belinka Friends Club Library.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History, which contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries and spotlights the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
