A cycle of training webinars launched at the Kurgan Regional Center of the Presidential Library

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library launched a cycle of training webinars. On December 15 the first online meeting with employees providing access to the resources of the Presidential Library in cultural and educational institutions of Kurgan Region took place.

The methodologist of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, Aleksey Avdeenko, using a video link, told his colleagues the history and principles of the Presidential Library's work, presented the composition and content of its collections and also showed the most effective ways to search for information on the portal. In order to provide methodological assistance in the coming year, such meetings are planned to be held monthly. The topics of discussion will be issues related to work in the remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, as well as the possibility of using its resources in various events.

Today, there are 22 centers of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library opened in Kurgan Region. Their main task is to give readers the opportunity to learn about the digital format with unique materials representing the cultural heritage of Russia, including sources that were previously inaccessible to a wide circle of the public.

The Presidential Library has opened more than 1,300 remote access centers in all 85 regions of the country. 44 centers of remote access of the Presidential Library run in 30 countries abroad, including in Germany, USA, Italy, Spain, Austria, Great Britain and others.
