Cooperation between the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library and the Regional Office of the Russian Guard continues

On the eve of the New Year the staff of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Universal Scientific Library visited military unit 3474 of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

There was performed a story about the possibilities of the electronic collections of the Presidential Library on the example of the collection The Constitution - the Basic Law, and also a video tutorial The Second World War in Archival Documents was showed. The meeting aroused the keen interest of the servicemen.

In addition, the cooperation between the regional center and the Rosgvardia Directorate is long-term and promising. Educational events with the departure of librarians to the unit, as well as excursions and reviews for military personnel directly in the Belinsky library are held regularly. At the end of 2021, Anastasia Rusina, head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, was awarded a commemorative medal "65 years of military unit 3469" for her contribution to the educational work of military personnel.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History, which contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries and introduces the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects history of the region.
