
A virtual exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Mikhail Lomonosov opened in Penza
The Lermontov Penza Regional Library closes the exhibition "The Light of Russian Science" dedicated to the 310th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Lomonosov (1711–1765).
Those people who wish and who have not had time to learn about the exposition, have opportunity to see rare editions from the book storage department of the Lermontov Library at a virtual exhibition to mark the anniversary of the scientist.
The virtual exhibition consists of several sections. The section "Biography" briefly introduces the biography of Mikhail Vasilyevich, with the places where the "genius of the Russian land" lived, studied and worked.
The section "Lermontov Library” features the works of Lomonosov himself and books about him from the collections of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library. Here, there are not only books from the collection of the regional book depository listed, but the code and number of each edition, as well as the storage location in the library collection, indicated so that everyone can quickly find the books they need.
The section "Presidential Library" features publications from the electronic collections of the National Library of Russia.
The Presidential Library’s portal also features Penza Region: Pages of History collection. It includes archives, essays, studies and statistical materials covering various aspects of the history of the region at the end of the 18th - first third of the 20th centuries: demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and others.
