Kurgan regional center announced the start of the local history Olympiad "MY LAND"

February 1, 2022 the local history online Olympiad "MY LAND" was launched in Kurgan Region. It is held by the regional center of the Presidential Library based on Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library.

The Olympiad is aimed at developing an in-depth interest in the history of the region among the younger generation, as well as promoting humanitarian knowledge through modern electronic resources. All questions are based on local history materials presented in the digital collections of the Presidential Library Kurgan Region: Pages of History and the Yugov Electronic Library.

The Olympiad is an opportunity not only to test the knowledge but also to learn many interesting facts from the history of the Trans-Urals with the help of unique documents.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Kurgan Region: Pages of History, which includes research, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic data and photographs of the 19th - early 21st centuries, spotlighting the administrative, socio-economic, geographical position of Kurgan and Shadrinsk districts, which territory is based on modern region, as well as the current Charter of Kurgan Region.
