The 13th remote access center to the resources of the Presidential Library opened in Penza Region

On February 8, 2022 a remote access center was opened in Penza Region in the inter-settlement central regional library of the Spassky district.

The opening ceremony was held in a face-to-face format. Director of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library (Lermontov Public Library) M. N. Osipova congratulated colleagues and guests present at the site in Spassk on a significant event, noting that the initiative to open remote access centers to the resources of the Presidential Library in all district libraries was supported by the governor of Penza Region O. V. Melnichenko.  

Scientific Secretary of the Lermontov Library D. Yu. Murashov expressed confidence that the resources of the Presidential Library will be in demand by local historians, teachers, students and everyone involved in research activities.

The opening of an electronic reading room in Spassk is an important step in the implementation of the objectives of the Library Development Strategy for the period up to 2030.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archives, essays, studies and statistical materials covering various aspects of the history of the region at the end of the 18th - the first third of the 20th century: demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and others.
