On April 7, 2022 the Presidential Library hosted a screening of the works of the finalists of the media project contest of the festival “Everything starts from childhood”. The event was held as part of the 5th International Festival of Children's and Youth Creativity, dedicated this year to the image of Peter the Great in poetry and author's song of the 20th-21st centuries. The festival was organized by the Alexander Gorodnitsky Foundation for the Development and Popularization of Poetry and Author's Song and the Pushkin All-Russian Museum.
The festival helps to instill in the younger generation the respect for the historical and cultural heritage of Russia, its northern capital - St. Petersburg, create conditions for the inclusion of students in search, creative and research work, identify and support talented children and creative youth. The Presidential Library’s cinema club program included the display and discussion of the works of the young finalists of the festival's media projects contest, presented in three categories: animation, video clip and video work.
For the fifth year the Presidential Library has been a venue for the finals of the contest of media projects created by gifted schoolchildren of the city. The presentation of youth creativity using multimedia technologies is one of the conceptual activities of the Presidential Library’s cinema club as an electronic library.
The event is available on the institution's YouTube.
