
Days of the Presidential Library held at the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia
The Days of the Presidential Library were held on March 28-29, 2022 within the framework of the plan of joint events of the branch of the Presidential Library in Tyumen Region and the "Tyumen Institute for Advanced Training of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation" for the 2021/2022 academic year.
The video film The Second World War in Archival Documents presented by the Presidential Library aroused particular interest among the round table participants.
The study of previously classified documents, historical facts, correspondence of senior officials that left their mark on Russian and Soviet history was based on the preparation of police essays on various topics in the nominations “The history of the Russian police”, “Following the pages of the history of victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" and “Patriotism Through the Ages”. The listeners examined their research in studying the significance of the role of Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donskoy, Mikhail Tukhachevsky and Kliment Voroshilov in the history of the Russian state.
Summing up the results of the contest of students' works using the Presidential Library’s sources, the head of the library of the "TIPC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia", candidate of legal sciences Tatyana Silina noted that interaction with the Presidential Library allows to successfully implement scientific and educational projects. Archival documents about the history of the organization of police activities stored in the Presidential Library are widely used by specialists in the educational process and moral building.
