The Presidential Library hosted a festive event dedicated to Victory Day

On May 6, 2022 the Presidential Library hosted a festive event for veterans of the Great Patriotic War timed to coincide with Victory Day celebration.

The organizers were the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture, the Administration of the Admiralteisky District of St. Petersburg and the Presidential Library.

The celebrations dedicated to Victory Day are traditionally held in the historic building at Senate Square, 3 and the tours around the Presidential Library and a festive concert are organized for veterans.

The Presidential Library pays much attention to the preservation of the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. A large-scale electronic collection Memory of the Great Victory has been formed on the institution's portal since 2010. It features not only official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, but also testimonies of participants in combat battles and home front workers, including video recordings of interviews, diaries and personal documents.
