Interactive game "The Way Peter I changed Russia" held at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library in Penza
May 24, 2022 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library hosted an intellectual game to mark the 350th anniversary of Peter I at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library in Penza Region. The pupils were offered to prepare for the quiz at the training center.
Scientific Secretary of the library D. Yu. Murashov spoke about the contradictory views of historians on the personality and reforms of the emperor, focused on modern studies of the activities of Peter the Great. Library specialists introduced pupils to the State Authority collection on the Presidential Library’s portal, in particular, to materials dedicated to Peter I.
Then the young experts performed practical tasks. More than a dozen digitized books were available on the Presidential Library’s portal. Some were given the task of leafing through printed sources from the Lermontovka collections - beautifully illustrated new books and reprints, for example, “Peter the Great. His Life and Reign” by A. G. Brikner. Moreover, all the tasks were individual: the overall success in the game depended on attentiveness and responsibility of team members.
