The Russian House in Nur-Sultan held a workshop for teachers of the Russian language and literature

A workshop for teachers of the Russian language and literature has been over at the Russian House in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan). It involved over 30 teachers, winners of the first stage of the International Contest Russian Language in Kazakhstan - New Horizons. Lectures and practical classes were held by teachers from Russia and Kazakhstan. Deputy Director General of the Russian Humanitarian Mission Tatyana Orlova and head of the Russian House in Nur-Sultan Alexei Koropchenko presented certificates of completion to the participants.

The project Russian Language in Kazakhstan - New Horizons has been organized by the Russian Humanitarian Mission with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo. 10 finalists will be selected based on the results of the contest. They will travel to Moscow in July-August 2022.

Since 2013 a remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library has been opened in the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Nur-Sultan.

Guests of the Russian House have opportunity to learn about the major electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russian Language.

The collection dedicated to the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation was formed by September 1, 2013 and involved 539 items. Today its volume is 1,176 depository items.

The collection includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian literature, archives, scientific works (including dissertations and theses), dictionaries and reference books, teaching aids of various types and levels.

Kazakhstan is one of the largest states in Asia located "at the crossroads" of the Eurasian continent. The materials, studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and newsreels spotlight the geography, ethnography, economy, cultural development and administrative-territorial division of Kazakhstan in XV - early XX century including the period of its entry into the common state with Russia.
