The Lermontov Penza Regional Library provides virtual exhibition “Pyotr Stolypin. Life for the Fatherland"

On the eve of the 160th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Russian statesman, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire, the Lermontov Penza Regional Library has provided a virtual exhibition Pyotr Stolypin. Life for the Fatherland.

The purpose of this exhibition is to show the versatility of the personality of Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin as a politician and statesman.

The Presidential Library’s collection Pyotr Stolypin (1862–1911) features documentary materials related to his life and activities in various government posts, including Stolypin’s correspondence, the texts of his speeches, in particular, as chairman of the Council of Ministers before members of the State Duma, as well as studies and essays. The documents related to the murder of Stolypin, photographs from the collections of the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents (Krasnogorsk) and an annotated guide to the most interesting Internet resources dedicated to Stolypin are also highlighted.

The centerpiece of the collection is archival documents from the Stolypin Foundation stored at the Russian State Historical Archive.

The collection features documents provided by the Stolypin Foundation for the Study of the Heritage to mark the anniversary events.
