The Presidential Library hosted a concert for guests and participants of the XXV Anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The cultural program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is traditionally associated with the iconic places of the city on the Neva. The Presidential Library is among them. It was the library that held a concert for the guests and participants of the anniversary forum.

Honored Artists of Russia, soloists of the leading theaters of the country, laureates of international contests with the participation of the State Kremlin Orchestra of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation performed musical works by R. M. Glier, N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, M. P. Mussorgsky, P. I. Tchaikovsky, S. S. Prokofiev, J. Verdi, J. Bizet, J. Rossini, E. Lloyd-Webber and other famous composers.

All speeches were united by the theme of Russian statehood, the history of our country.

As part of the concert, astronauts from the International Space Station addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

In addition to the concert on this day, the Presidential Library’s attendees had opportunity to visit the historic building with a guided tour, learn how the electronic reading room runs and become participants of film screenings.

The Presidential Library is located in the historic building of the Holy Synod, designed by the outstanding architect Carlo Rossi. It features unique electronic documents on the history of Russian statehood. The Presidential Library is a venue for major national and international events.
