Educational webinar in the Volgorad Regional Centre of the Presidential Library

On June 10, 2022 Head of the Sector “Regional Centre of Information Resources of the Presidential Library” of the Gorky Volgograd Regional Universal Research Library Evgenia Tarbayeva participated in the educational webinar Electronic Libraries: User Service and Promotion organized for the specialists of the municipal libraries of the towns Volzhsky, Kamyshin, Pallasovka, Frolovo, Serafimovich, Krasnoslobodsk, the villages Alexeevskaya and Kumylzhenskaya, Olkhovka and Yerzovka.

The webinar explored the main aspects of service organization and possibilities of promotion of resources of electronic libraries, such as the Presidential Library, the National Electronic Library, LitRes: Library, Elibrary.ru.

The specialists of the libraries of Volgograd Region learned about the possibilities of providing information services, the organization of interactive and offline events with the use of the collections of electronic libraries, and ways of drawing readers’ attention to the information resources and libraries’ collections.

Special attention was paid to the problems of promoting the Presidential Library’s resources. Evgenia Tarbayeva told about the events of the sector – intellectual game Book’s Transformation, situational role play Chronicles, lagre-scale international and All-Russian events, Day of Book Lovers, Biblionoch, by demonstrating examples of content use in the organization of events and the promotion of the Presidential Library’s resources.

As of today, the Presidential Library has opened about 1400 remote access centers in all 85 regions of the Russian Federation.
