Specialists of the Ryazan Regional Center of the Presidential Library organized an exhibition of works by art students

Specialists of the Ryazan Regional Center of the Presidential Library organized an exhibition of works by art students “Ideas. Plans. Embodiment" based on the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library.

The exposition features term papers and diploma works of students of the Ryazan branch of the Higher School of Folk Arts. This educational institution trains artists in the field of traditional applied arts under the programs of secondary vocational and higher education.

The exhibition presents works illustrating various stages of the implementation of students' educational tasks - from the concept of a project in a graphic format to its implementation in a finished product. All of them are created by hand, taking into account the artistic and technological features and traditions of each art form.

The exposition was also entered with digital copies of archival materials from the collections of the Presidential Library Russian People and Ryazan Region: Pages of History. Thanks to the QR-codes that were placed on the demonstration copies of the documents, visitors were able to quickly access the full version of the materials on the library’s portal using mobile phones.

The meeting was addressed with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of Ryazan Region, Director of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library Natalya Grishina, Director of the Ryazan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center of Folk Art, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Elena Shapovskaya, Director of the Ryazan Branch of the Higher School of Folk Arts, Candidate in Philology Lidiya Plavinskaya, teacher of the department of artistic lace-making of the Ryazan branch of the Higher School of Folk Arts, candidate of pedagogical sciences Daria Khristolubova. The speakers stressed the importance of preserving the cultural heritage and passing on skills to young artists who will preserve traditions, passing on secrets to new generations.

Students whose scientific works are exhibited at the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library are invited to participate in the annual Contest of student works (projects) using the information resources of the Presidential Library. The Regulations on the contest and its Regulations are available on the library’s portal.

The exhibition will run until September 5.
