Kurgan schoolchildren and students learned about the electronic library resources

Since the beginning of the academic year, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library, has been visited by more than 450 schoolchildren and students.

The guests learned about the electronic library resources, comprehensive collections of the Presidential Library, the National Electronic Library, the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library. The schoolchildren were also told about the electronic library system "BiblioRossika".

The head of the Kurgan Regional Center of the Presidential Library Rimma Nasyrova and the methodologist of the organization Alexei Avdeenko joined the meetings with the students.

Visitors to the Regional Center of the Presidential Library received information about interesting archival materials that are freely available on the institution's portal or through the library’s remote electronic reading room.

According to organizers, the acquired knowledge will certainly help students in the preparation of term papers, diploma and research papers.

The Presidential Library, having the status of the National Library of Russia, is a nationwide electronic repository of digital copies of the most important documents on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood, the Russian language, and also a multimedia, multifunctional cultural and educational, scientific and information as well analytical center. The materials of its electronic collections - more than 1 million depository items - are available in more than 1,400 centers of remote access to the resources of the institution, opened in all regions of the Russian Federation and 33 foreign countries.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Kurgan Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, statistical essays, studies, cartographic and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
