Tyumen hosted a round table "The Presidential Library: Effective Practices and Prospects for Development in the Urals Federal District"
A round table "The Presidential Library: Effective Practices and Prospects for Development in the Urals Federal District" was held in Tyumen.
The event took place on October 20 as part of the anniversary XV Tyumen digital forum / exhibition of information technologies "INFOTECH" for the network of remote access centers of the Presidential Library in the south of Tyumen Region, as well as for leaders and specialists in education and culture.
The round table was held in order to implement the current cooperation agreement between the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District and the Presidential Library.
The event focused on the possibilities of new projects, including the educational potential of the library's electronic resources.
The rector of the Tyumen Regional State Institute for the Development of Regional Education, the People's Teacher of the Russian Federation Olga Vladimirovna Roytblat, delivered a welcoming speech. She noted the key ideas of joint events and relationships with the Presidential Library in the field of the educational process.
Viktor Vladimirovich Minin, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Heads of Information Security Services, raised topical issues of information security for children.
Head of the Scientific and Educational Department of the Presidential Library Alla Yuryevna Ryabova presented information about the educational projects of the institution.
The chief bibliographer of the department for the formation and processing of information resources, Dmitry Vitalievich Kosenko, revealed the educational potential of the digital collection Peter I (1672–1725).
Aleksey Vladimirovich Voronovich, Senior Researcher of the Information Resources Formation and Processing Department, introduced the audience to the collection of digitized materials World War II in Archival Documents.
Yulia Pavlovna Lobanova, Leading Specialist of Methodological Work of the Department of Educational Programs of the Tyumen Region "Regional Information and Educational Center", noted that a module on the Presidential Library was introduced into the program for improving the computer literacy of the population "Expanding Horizons", which includes an overview of information resources, including a collection of digitized materials World War II in archival documents.
Director of the branch of the Presidential Library Oleg Leonidovich Shor outlined the vectors for the development of the Presidential Library in the Urals Federal District to those present.
The speakers were also the methodologist of the branch Lyudmila Viktorovna Marchenko and the leading manager Yaroslavna Vladimirovna Soglaeva, who demonstrated formats for promoting information about projects and resources of the Presidential Library.
The event was attended by 59 representatives of education and culture systems. 43 specialists from the institutions of the south of Tyumen Region joined the round table via video conferencing.
Colleagues learned about the up-to-date information about the activities of the Presidential Library, information resources and planned areas of development in the Urals Federal District.
