Exhibition of Tatar culture held in Baku
The event was held on November 26-27, 2022 at the Russian House. The workshops were organized for the guests of the exhibition on creating a leather mosaic and a felt carpet with traditional Tatar ornaments, as well as bead embroidery of national headdresses.
The event hosted a photo exhibition “Lead us to the straight path” and a screening of the documentary “Ibn Fadlan”, which marked the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.
The head of the Russian House in Baku Irek Zinnurov, the Minister of Culture of Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and the chairman of the Yashlek Tatar Youth Center Diaz Akhmedzhanov addressed the guests with a welcoming speech to the guests - representatives of the Tatar community of Azerbaijan.
The remote access center to Information resources of the Presidential Library, opened in 2011 at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Baku, today allows guests of the Russian House learning about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic collections.
Visitors to the Russian House are offered the collection Russian Language from the institution's electronic holdings. It includes more than 1,100 depository units of rare archive documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archives, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.
Guests to the Russian House have an opportunity to learn about materials on the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, which are available in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia - Azerbaijan: the History of Relations.
