The Presidential Library launched a cycle of lectures about the Russian language
2023 has been declared the Year of the Russian language as the language of interethnic communication in the CIS. In honor of this date the Presidential Library launched a series of lectures on topical issues of Russian studies and the problems of the development of the Russian language in the world.
Five video lectures are available. The first of them - "The Russian language and Russian mentality in the concept of Professor V. V. Kolesov" – was held at the Presidential Library on January 27, 2023.
All scientific and pedagogical activities of the Honorary Professor of St. Petersburg State University, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, full member of the Humanitarian Academy Vladimir Kolesov (1934–2019) are associated with the Leningrad - St. Petersburg University. Vladimir Kolesov is the author of the original doctrine of the Russian mentality as a national worldview in the categories and forms of the Russian language.
Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Russian Language Department of St. Petersburg State University, Professor Tatyana Sadova, a successor to the traditions of Vladimir Kolesov, spoke to the guests of the Presidential Library and its online audience.
The remaining video lectures will be held in February-April.
We bring to your attention a preliminary program of events:
∙ 17.02 - "The embodiment of value guidelines in the Russian language in Russian songs". Lecturer - Alexander Matrusov, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of the department of the general and Russian linguistics of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
∙ 04–06.04 (to be specified) - "The role of the Russian language in the formation of the Russian cultural space in the CIS countries". Lecturer - Levon Sahakyan, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of the department of the general and Russian linguistics of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
∙ 18.04 - “Living speech: norm and implementation”. Lecturer - Natalya Bogdanova-Blaglyan, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of the Russian Language Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University.
∙ 25–26.04 (to be specified) - "Rhetorical techniques in political discourse". Lecturer - Irina Mitrofanova, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of the Russian language department of St. Petersburg State University.
