Salekhard schoolchildren attended the intellectual quiz marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad

On February 2, 2023 specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the National Library of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area held a quiz for senior pupils of school № 2 and the city lyceum. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

During the quiz, the guys recalled the main events and significant dates associated with one of the key battles of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the outstanding participants in the battle.

Audiovisual materials from the Presidential Library’s collections helped schoolchildren dealing with quiz tasks. According to the organizers, the guys were most interested in the tour, where it was required to determine whether this or that fact is a myth or a truth.

According to the results of the contest, the team of lyceum students with the speaking name "Stakhanovites" prevailed. They scored the maximum number of points and were awarded diplomas.

At the end of the event, all participants also visited the thematic book exhibition "200 Days and Nights".

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection 1945: from the War to the Post-War World. It includes archival documents, research, newspaper and magazine chronicles, photographs and cartoons, as well as other materials covering the events of that period, which became a turning point in the history of the 20th century.
