The practice of using materials of the Presidential Library dedicated to legal science in the educational process discussed in Tyumen
On February 8, 2023 Director of the Department for Work with regions - Director of the branch of the Presidential Library in Tyumen Region Oleg Shor attended a meeting of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Training of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (TIPC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia). The event was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science.
The meeting participants were addressed by the head of the TIPC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police Major General Vladimir Iogolevich and the head of the library of the TIPC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Tatyana Silina.
At the event, they discussed the materials of the Presidential Library dedicated to the history of Russian police agencies. It was also noted that the materials stored in the Presidential Library are widely used by the Institute staff in the educational process and scientific work. Legal Science and Law Enforcement Practice is among them.
In his speech, Oleg Shor touched upon the issues of using the electronic collections of the institution in the practical activities of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the institute and spoke about the results of last year's cooperation. As part of the event, they also discussed the Plan of joint activities in 2023.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Tyumen Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, research, statistical and audiovisual materials that spotlight various aspects of the development of the region in the 16th-20th centuries.
