The results of the interregional web quest marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad summed up in Penza

Nailya Sadykova from Republic of Bashkortostan became the winner of the web quest “Stalingrad: Not a Step Back”, which was organized by the specialists of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library. Among the participants from Penza Region, the first place was taken by Angelina Maisyuk. As a gift, they will receive diplomas and interesting books.

The event was held with the information support of the Presidential Library. More than 500 people from 12 regions of Russia became its participants. The residents of Penza, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad Regions, as well as tRepublic of Bashkortostan, showed the greatest activity.

Digitized materials from the Presidential Library’s collections dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad helped the participants to cope with the tasks of the web quest. These are maps of battles, fragments of military chronicles and other documents that store the memories of eyewitnesses of those events.

According to the organizers, everyone can also complete the “Stalingrad: Not a Step Back” web quest until the end of February.

The section of the collection Memory of the Great Victory available on the Presidential Library’s portal is dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad. It contains documentary and journalistic publications, fragments of newsreels, photographs and much more. The entire collection and the section dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad constantly enter with new materials.
