Historical quiz held in the Penza Regional Centre of the Presidential Library

Specialists of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library hosted a historical quiz Along the River of Time for students of Penza schools. Teams from Ryazan and Syktyvkar remotely took part in the event as well.

Schoolchildren answered questions on history, matched dates and events, demonstrated their knowledge of the facts of biographies of remarkable statesmen. In addition, the students were guessing the titles of various musical pieces, and made conclusions about the origins of phraseologisms.

As part of the Presidential Library’s Warm-Up tour, the children had to answer archival questions from previous years of the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad, held annually by the Presidential Library. Materials from the institution’s electronic collections helped the participants to complete these tasks.

According to the results of the intellectual competition, the Phoenix team of Penza Lyceum № 14 won. Its members scored the maximum number of points.

The collection Penza Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It features archival documents, essays, research papers, statistical and other materials spotlighting various aspects of the region’s development in different historical periods.
