Young prosecutors took the oath at the Presidential Library

The solemn adoption of the Oath of the Prosecutor by young specialists of the St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office took place today at the Presidential Library in the Hall of the Constitution.

The oath of allegiance to the Law was taken by 22 prosecutors.

Viktor Melnik, the prosecutor of St. Petersburg, congratulated the young employees of the supervisory agency on this significant event. He greeted the young specialists and expressed confidence in their successful completion of their further service.

“I am convinced that one can earn authority in front of society only by deeds, a sensitive and attentive attitude to citizens' complaints, observance of objectivity and justice”, - the city prosecutor emphasized.

The historical past of the building of the Presidential Library, which houses the ensemble of buildings of the Senate and the Synod, gave a special solemnity to the event.

Young prosecutors took on high obligations to protect the interests of the individual, society and the state, to fight relentlessly against any violations of the law.

Feofil Alexandrovich Kekhiopulo, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Regional Branch of the All-Russian Organization of Veterans and Pensioners of the St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office, addressed the audience with parting words and wishes for success.

At the end of the oath, young specialists took a tour of the Presidential Library’s building dedicated to the most significant anniversaries and topical issues in the history of Russian statehood.
